A lot of Coffee shops nowadays come up with unique themes or gimmicks in order to stand out from other cafes. With so many coffee shops to choose from around the metro, we found one who made a pretty cool theme for themselves. These are the guys from Board Over Bored.

The concept of the shop was based from the owners love for board games. As a young couple, they have frequented a particular shop in Manila where they would spend hours playing different board games. Until they thought of putting up a similar place of their own.


Board Over Bored currently has 150 unique board games to choose from. These games were meticulously picked by the owners. Some of them were so uncommon that they had to be ordered from rare suppliers. The board games are so diverse that anyone will surely find something that would tickle their fancy.


The place is comfy and ideal for big groups and even for families tagging their kids along. In fact, this is the value that the shop owners want to promote. To have a wholesome place where families can spend quality time together over food and board games.

Their menu consists of divers dishes as well.  They have rice meals, pasta, appetizers, and coffee. Here’s a sneak peak of the dishes we can recommend:

Board Over Bored also has 10 different ‘forbidden’ frappes to choose from.  We like the Matcha Frappe and the Sheriff of Nutella.

Budget per head: Consumable based

Php 200.00/ head (P50 Gaming + P150 consumable).  This is equivalent to 2 hours of unlimited use of all games.  Succeeding P100.00 consumable/head.

Parking: Limited.  You can park in front of the store or at the gas station adjacent to the shop.

Wi-Fi: None. Come on, focus on your board game!
