Special sauce with aromatic blend of spices consisting of cayenne pepper, onions, celery, and more. All this combined and cooked with fresh crabs, shrimps and mussels. Bagged and put into one bright bucket. This plus other Asian Fusion dishes can be found at the newly opened restaurant called The Orange Bucket.

Formerly known as the Crowing Chicken, The Orange Bucket has moved from Angeles City to San Fernando, Pampanga. Its new home can comfortably seat around 40-50 people. The place is simple, clean, and very well lighted. A giant blue crab can be seen in one wall, boat paddles adorn the ceiling, and other “ocean” accents can be seen throughout the place. It’ll make you feel like dining in a restaurant beside sea bay.

The Orange Bucket menu is straightforward. The highlight is the ‘catch’ you want in your orange bucket. You’ll have a choice of crabs, shrimps, and mussels. Or you can choose to get the Captain’s Catch which is a combination of the 3. The Orange Bucket price is P1,185.00 for 300 grams each for crabs, shrimps, and mussels.

Next step is to choose your preferred flavor. You’ll have an option from Cajun, lemon pepper, garlic butter, and the big bang which is also a combination of the flavors. We opted to try the big bang for our catch.

Cajun dishes are known for their pungency. But fret not because The Orange Bucket has a spice meter. So you can choose to have your catch tamed (non-spicy), wild with a bit of kick, wilder (kick ass), or go all the way with wildest (XXX).

To compliment your ‘catch’, there are other Asian Fusion dishes you can add. We will recommend the Country Style Fried Chicken. The chicken is tender and flavored just right. The dish comes with potatoes and greens on the side.

We’ll also recommend the Tempura.  The coating itself is already flavorful and the shrimp size is also ideal.

Other dishes that we’ve tried were:

Thai Fried Rice

Thai Spring Rolls

Also try Double Chocolate and Buko Pandan Salad for dessert, and Lemonade for beverage.
